MALIK Hockey is one the world’s leading brands and has been manufacturing sticks and equipment for over 40 years at its factory in Sialkot, Pakistan. Employing over 150 staff and producing over 500 sticks per day to strict quality guidelines, the range is now available to all hockey playing nations.
MALIK have been at the forefront of design and innovation and this is demonstrated
by the following examples:
-In 1993, MALIK developed the first hockey stick to incorporate a longer grip.
-In 1997, MALIK developed the first ever combined stick and kit bag – The Jumbo.
-In 2002, MALIK in conjunction with Sohail Abbas, developed the first specialist Drag Flick Stick.
We believe we have a close working relationship with all our Sponsored Players (or Heroes as we like to call them) and by working closely with them, are able to continue to innovate and develop. The Gaucho and Dribble Curve for example, were developed by working closely with Lucas Vila.
For many years MALIK has been the choice of top international stars such as Ahmed Shabaz, Jappe Tewes, Stefan Saliger, Marc Delissen and Stephan Veen. More recently, 5 German players who participated in and won the World Championships in Monchengladbach in 2006, were using and endorsing MALIK products as was triple world hockey player Luciana Aymar.
For the last 6 years, many of the MALIK designs have been the work of Meike Poppitz, the former multiple German champion and U21 National player
